Awards

1st Place/Weekly Investigative Reporting, Society of Professional Journalists, New Jersey Chapter, 1992 – This award was in recognition of a package of investigative article for the New Jersey Law Journal that disclosed and examined the corrupt asset-seizure practices of the Somerset County, New Jersey, Prosecutor’s Office. The stories prompted a federal grand jury investigation that led to the indictment and conviction of the Somerset County Prosecutor.
1st Place, Enterprise Reporting and Writing, Society of Professional Journalists,  New Jersey Chapter, 1991 – This award was in recognition of an article for the New Jersey Law Journal that examined gaps in New Jersey’s civil commitment laws that resulted in an adjudicated killer being released from commitment, whereupon he later killed again, this time his mother.
Platinum Award, Hermes Creative Awards for Marketing Communications, 2009 – This award was in recognition of the high quality of ETS Innovations, ETS’s corporate magazine, of which I served as Editor.
2nd Place, Special Subject Writing, New Jersey Press Association, 1994 – This award was in recognition of an article for the New Jersey Law Journal that examined the legal ethics of preparing wills for clients who plan to commit suicide.
1st Place, Business Reporting (Co-Writer), Society of Professional Journalists. New Jersey Chapter, 1991 – This award was in recognition of articles for the New Jersey Law Journal that a colleague and I wrote examining the causes and the personal impact of a recession in the legal profession in New Jersey.
